We have an immediate opening in our Penticton office for this position. Applicants must hold a valid BC Security License and it would be an asset to have a Journeyman Electrician ticket.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promote alarm and data systems and sales
- Estimate security and data systems.
- Layout, install, program and maintain security systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair security systems.
- Alarm account maintenance; identify and amend problems as they arise.
- Perform work and installations in a safe and professional manner in accordance with instructions and estimated deadlines.
- Comply with Company and Work Safe BC procedures, rules, and regulations and maintain safe and clean work area.
Requirements:
- BC Security License
- Alarm Installers Certificate
- Restricted Low Voltage Certificate
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of certified cabling systems including fibre installation and terminations
- Knowledge of DSC products including programming of panels via keypad and downloading software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with both clients and fellow employees.

ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER - PENTICTON, BC

Professional Engineer or C-tech with minimum of 5 years experience in Industrial work, including PLC, controls and instrumentation. Experience in electrical estimating and software is an assset (will train).
Responsibilties include but are not limited to:
- Manage projects for new construction & upgrades for Industrial Projects
- Read and understand Electrical specification and drawings
- Research and find electrical equipment and materials
- Determine costs for estimates and prepare final estimate for bidding
- Assist in design & manufacture of CSA certified Control Panels
- Manage multiple projects and crew and monitor job progress
Applicant must have a valid driver's license, must be organized and able to communicate easily with suppliers, engineers and co-workers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, which provide light, heat, communications, and power to a variety of new and existing residential, commercial, and industrial structures
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
- Pull wire and cable through conduits, position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures, install single and multi-wire cables above and underground, install data cabling and install and maintain fiber optic and signaling systems.
- Responsible for accurate receiving and storage of materials on the job site
- Perform housekeeping and other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Possess good mechanical ability, knowledge of the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution systems, and familiarity with the materials and techniques of construction.
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Willing and able to take and follow direction from Journeyman, Foreman and/or Manager
- Interact and work co-operatively with co-workers and other trades people,
- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, crawl, lift, climb, pull, and reach. Work may be conducted in cramped, confined spaces or on ladders and scaffolding at great heights.
- Work can occur in the full range of environmental conditions; inside buildings and outside.
- Possess a Valid Driver’s License and submit a clean driver’s abstract on request.
